Station: Me On- and offline psychological help for children, parents, caregivers and social work specialists

Having analysed the beneficiaries’ requests and urgent needs, including those of people from the frontline areas who are in constant stress due to round-the-clock shelling, destruction, and uncertainty, the CPH Confidence launched the project Station: Me in May 2023 with the support of the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) and financial support from the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) to offer comprehensive psychological assistance and psychoeducation.

The project provides comprehensive support, including consultations with a psychologist, psychotherapist, and, if necessary, a psychiatrist; long-term follow-up; on-line and off-line activities; mobile psychological teams visiting various settlements, even the least accessible ones.

Among other things, the project addresses a very important need – psycho-emotional support for professionals working in the human-human sphere – to strengthen mental health, prevent exhaustion, and restore the resources of those who help others despite everything. Other beneficiaries include families with children under 18 who have lost a breadwinner; children with special educational needs and their parents and caregivers, etc.

Within the project, specialists work on three programmes: “Body. Stabilisation. Resource”, “Working with people who have experienced traumatic events”, and “Training of specialists working with children with special educational needs” (upon their completion, participants receive a certificate). Project beneficiaries can also join webinars, workshops, lectures, and retreats.

Having received qualified psychological support, beneficiaries report improved psychological well-being, newly developed self-help mechanisms and self-regulation strategies, and thus an increased ability to adapt to changed life contexts.

All specialists working in the project have zero tolerance for any forms and manifestations of violence and discrimination, and support compliance with ethical standards. Sexual exploitation and abuse are prohibited in all forms. The specialists follow the policy of preventing sexual harassment, sexual exploitation and abuse, including in the workplace.
