Webinar: Teenagers. What parents need to know
19 July at 19:00 The child revolts, forgets his or her promises, behaves defiantly, does not share parents’ most important values, changes clothing styles, interests and tastes on the fly. Parents are usually puzzled by this behaviour.
Congratulations – you are communicating with a teenager.
But how can one recognise warning signs – self-harm, risky behaviour – among normal behavioural patterns? What do adults need to know about teenagers and how to raise them?
We invite parents, teachers, and professionals to the webinar “Teenagers. What parents need to know”
19 July 2024, at 19.00, Zoom platform
You will get answers to the following questions:
– Who are teenagers and how long does adolescence last? What are the tasks of adolescence?
– What biological changes occur in teenagers and how does this affect their aggressive behaviour? Why do teenagers need self-confidence, and what is the role of parents?
– What is self-harm, or why do children cut themselves?
– Topics that concern teenagers.
– Bad habits and how to prevent them.
– What is sex education and why is it needed?
These and many other issues will be discussed by Iryna Kravchenko, a psychologist at the Confidence Centre, a family psychologist, psychotherapist, certified Gestalt therapist, and member of the Ukrainian Union of Psychotherapists.
