Masterclass for children: A game that defeats stress

18 September at 16:00

What do we know about games? Is it entertainment, therapy or both?
All adults should to know that it is almost impossible to support a child to regain strength and mental balance without using games.
A game is creativity and work, and work is the way children learn about the world. A game is a huge bright window through which a healing stream of ideas and concepts about the world around us flows into the child’s spiritual world. A game is a spark that lights the fire of curiosity.
Date: 18 September 2024
Start time: 16:00, Zoom platform
Duration: 1 hour
Host: Natalia Cherniakova – psychologist, art therapist, teacher.
Age of participants: 6+
Necessary materials include white paper, coloured pencils, foil, string.

During the masterclass, children will play psychological games aimed at relieving psychological stress; feeling their own body and its boundaries; interacting with each other and feeling their uniqueness. We will learn how to create our own games and follow the rules. We will make a real work of art with our own hands – a silver necklace, where each bead will be charged with a game.
And for adults, a little reminder: “We don’t stop playing because we get old – we get old because we stop playing”.
Bonus: we invite parents to join the masterclass with their children!
