Tetiana Tverdun

Tetiana Tverdun is a clinical psychologist, trauma therapist, member of the EMDR Ukraine Association, and member of the Psychological Counselling and Trauma Therapy Association of the Complex Trauma Institute.

“We are traumatised in our relationships with others, but we also heal in our relationships with others”.

Most of the emotional wounds we carry did not arise in isolation. They came from our relationships with parents, partners, friends, and persons of authority. And it is in relationships – new, lively, safe – that we can find the path to healing.

We don’t choose where we get hurt. But we can choose where we start to heal. That’s why in my work I try to create a space where people can feel safe, accepted and supported.

I work with:

  • adults
  • young people

I prefer a multimodal approach, using cognitive-behavioural, cognitive-process, dialectical behaviour therapy techniques, mindfulness practices, EMDR therapy, Brainspotting and IFS (Internal Family Systems Therapy, R. Schwartz).

I work with the following issues:

  • anxiety
  • panic attacks
  • phobias/ fears
  • depression
  • obsessive thoughts
  • eating disorders
  • self-esteem issues
  • traumatic experiences
  • grief/loss
  • undefined loss
  • stressful events
  • PTSD
  • childhood trauma
  • emotional instability
  • sleep problems
  • emigration
  • chronic fatigue
  • burnout
  • physical manifestations of psychological problems

Spending time with my children and cat, drawing, reading books, listening to music, being in nature, playing sports, doing creative activities, and personal therapy help me preserve and restore my resources.
