"Touch of care" is a project of qualified psychosocial support, socialization and integration for children and adolescents with visual impairments. The initiative was implemented by the NGO "Confidence Center" together with the Podilsk district organization of the Red Cross Society in Kyiv and with the support of the NIVEA brand.
Within the project, comprehensive support was provided for different age categories: children (6–8 and 9–12 years old), as well as teenagers and young people (13–16 and 17–18 years old). All classes were developed and conducted taking into account the psychological and physical characteristics of the participants in accordance with their age.
The goal of the project is to create a safe and protected space for children and adolescents with visual impairments, which will contribute to their successful socialization and integration into society.
The project is aimed at developing non-verbal communication skills, emotional intelligence, establishing strong social ties among like-minded people, increasing self-esteem and forming a motivational climate for a confident future of beneficiaries.
