"TOGETHER. Your support is nearby" is a large-scale all-Ukrainian project of emergency and long-term psychosocial assistance for families affected by war and families raising children with disabilities or special educational needs (SEN). The initiative was implemented by a team of specialists from the NGO "Confidence Center" within the framework of the United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF) program.
Based on the previous experience of working with vulnerable categories, the organization’s experts developed and implemented a unique online program. It was aimed at quick psycho-emotional stabilization of children and adults who faced trauma, loss of homes or loved ones, and adaptation of families to crisis conditions.
The goal of the project is to provide operational and complex psychological support to the population in wartime conditions, to reduce the risks of developing PTSD, depression and anxiety disorders.
The project aimed to teach parents and guardians the skills of psychological first aid, provide tools for understanding the specifics of children’s behavior (especially with OOP) in stressful situations, and help participants restore internal resistance and stability.
