Webinar: Attention, attention! Developing attention!

Biographical researchers believe that Napoleon Bonaparte could dictate seven important diplomatic documents to seven secretaries at the same time. And everyone probably knows about the abilities of Julius Caesar, who could deal with several unrelated matters at the same time. Is it true or fiction? How much can we concentrate on something? What does our attention depend on?
Let us discuss this at the webinar “Attention, attention! Developing attention!”.
We will find out:
– the peculiarities of attention as a mental process;
– characteristics of attentive and inattentive people;
– whether and how attention can and should be developed and trained.
We will learn how to:
– use games and exercises aimed at developing a child’s attention, reducing impulsivity and developing self-control;
– develop not only attention, but also memory, imagination and thinking;
– understand how we can help a child to concentrate
Host – Iryna Sitkariova, neuropsychologist, child and family psychotherapist.

Masterclass: Butterfly Wings art practice

We all experience different emotions from time to time. Sometimes they can be pleasant, and sometimes not so much, and then it seems that there are butterflies fluttering inside us. How can we help ourselves cope with such feelings?
We invite children to an art practice called “Butterfly Wings”, where they will learn how to understand and express their emotions through creativity. We will create our own butterflies of feelings that will help us understand ourselves better. After all, when you give something a name or a shape, you can control it and choose how to act. For example, let this butterfly fly free.

Webinar: How a sense of security affects a child’s behaviour and brain development

– How can I help my child feel safe?
– To what extent can a sense of security reduce bad behaviour?
Have you ever guessed that your child’s behavioural responses such as “hit, run, freeze” are the result of the lower part of the brain, which is responsible for survival, and the lack of a sense of security? And a child’s behaviour will change and the parent-child relationship improve only in a safe environment and with safe adults nearby.
We invite you to explore the topic at the practical webinar “How a sense of security affects a child’s behaviour and brain development”
7 June at 19:00
Where: Zoom platform
Host – Anna Bohdanova, correctional teacher, psychologist, trauma therapist, certified trainer.
At the webinar, we will explore:
– how to create a safe environment for a child;
– how to become a safe adult;
– how to restore a child’s sense of security and change behaviour for the better.

The event will be of most interest to parents, foster parents, and caregivers of social centres who are faced with challenging behaviour in children.
See you there!
